Our Vision
Who are we?
Manchester Communities is a not-for-profit organisation. We aim to support people from migrant and culturally diverse communities to connect to community resources, receive practical help, and undertake educational and group activities, including volunteering, so that people can improve their chances of finding work, make friends and engage in their local communities.
Charitable Visions
To advance the education of newcomers and people with English as a second or foreign language by preparing them to undertake ESOL Skills for Life qualifications to improve their chances of further study, training and progression into employment.
The advancement of citizenship and community development through the promotion of volunteering opportunities when delivering educational activities, such as helping English language learners practice their conversational skills or when teaching adults in the community IT skills, as well as helping to deliver arts and crafts projects, accompanying people on outdoor visits and facilitating the delivery of festive and cultural events.
The advancement of amateur sport, which promotes health by undertaking physical activities like Tai Chi and Yoga or participating in walking tours in Manchester and its surrounding areas to promote health and well-being, including disseminating healthy eating seminars.
